The fu*kedest thing happened when i was cruising back along the highway back from the gold coast yesterday, I was mabey just sitting on 110km/h when i heard this massive bang hit the bottom of the car, i realised it couldn't be good but i had no where to pull over to stop and check out what had happened.
About 5 minutes later i tryed to over take and the boost was cutting in and out and then the engine started overheating. When i stopped to look in the engine bay, I saw that the Tension belt running from the supercharger and the water pump had come off completely and the tension pulley was now where to be seen.

What i want to know is how could this possibly have happened?

And What Can be used to replace the tension pulley with out having to scope an 4agze one

    Thanks

i suppose the next question is who has a spare tension pulley lying around or something similar?

it's interesting that this seems to be happening to a few people. I wonder what makes the pulley drift forward when it comes loose? I would have thought that it would have drifted backwards until it hit something? Or is the shaft quite short so it can only drift forwards?

My theory is that, the pulley is spinning anti-clockwise, so could have something to do with the nut coming undone, maybe through vibration and frivtion in the bearing.
When the nut comes loose, the tensioner bolt can pivot backwards slightly, and the pulley eventually works its way off...
