Gday this is from an email which my dad received from CAMS, i thought some of you might be interested if you dont already know about it.

Radical new tire design by Michelin. The next generation of tires.

These tires are airless and are scheduled to be out on the market very
    soon.

The bad news for law enforcement is that spike strips will not work on
    these tires.

This is what great R&D will do, and just think of the impact on existing
    technology:

    a. no more air valves
    B. no more air compressors at gas stations
    c. no more repair kits

These are actual pictures taken in the South Carolina plant of Michelin.

Very good idea, however i think it needs some improvement on the tire wall... maybe a cover or something on the out side so it looks like a normal tire

    looks like 19th century carriage

    Old news.

I can't really imagine that these would do your handling any favours, but then again, you never know.

These will probably be released for light duty work, on things like wheelbarrows / sack trucks initially...
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

    Speak the English guys!!!

    TYRE, not tire.
    WHEEL, not rim.
