What does the type 9 box come in over here? & what are the ratios like compared to a T-50

fensport in the UK supply the kit to suit a ford sierra box, if that means anything to you guys.

    Bell housing & paddle clutch

    721.199 AUD

Mate of mine bought the kit but never fitted it as he sold the car & bought something else.
Here is a pic which may not be the actual kit, just the one my mate got.

Im thinking about going this route at a later stage, depending on a few things. Cant fault my T-50, its taken some serious 2nd to 1st punishment,

supply them, the conversion is big on the IRL clubman scene & a bit with the kitcar boys in the UK.
Its a silly site, go to parts, then click on the trd trueno on the top left, then when it gives you options on 84 or facelift move the cursor to the left & an option bar appears, click mechanical

Unfortunately we don't get the type 9, the type 9 is a 5 speed often found in Sierra's......this is not to be confused with a T5 that was found in Cosworth Sierra's. The T5 is common in australia behind fords and holdens.

The closest we get to the type 9, is a four speed box(type 9 was 5 speed) that was found behind pinto's(ford 2 litre).

Like he says above, in UK, they use an adaptor plate and bolt up a ford gearbox, many many ratios to suit the ford boxes including some sweet sequential 6 speeds available.
