hey guys, i am looking at getting a corona for a cheap daily run around car, but i know nothing about them and cant find info on them,

there seems to be alot of models the same shape but different codes and lights (and other minor stuff)

The ones im lookin at are auto (seem to be all autos which i dont mind for a daily)

So any way does anyone have info or a site (i searched with no luck) like a forum like this for them or something.

I want to know if there are any particularly good models with better susp or motor or something like 4ac v 4k with ke's for example, so i dont buy a shit version of them.

    Thanks for any help guys!!!!!!!!!

mmm, despite what some say, xt130's can be reliable. mine surived literally over 400 key bangers in a week, and a good month of thrashing.

but yes i would not buy one, it was given to me.

ST142...? (may be RT), last of the coronas. came with a 22R-E 2.4L EFI, if you get the avante model you get T series disc brake rear end. rack and pinion steering, optional power steering. cruise was optional. ST142's had a bootlid which was on a slight slant, which helps avoid boot rust, which coronas are notorious for, not to mention rust in almost every other panel.

Actually not a bad car. but all the boonged ones with drivers that are fresh off the boat give them bad rep.

You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

theres a guy on here with a corona with the 22R-E, the 22R is a pretty nice engine, my dad has one in his ute, seems to go pretty nice, and corona has gota be lighter than a dual cab ute

    it's like comparing a l18 to a l20
the st's come with 2lts which like to rev and have a dencent amount of power/torque were as the rt's which is a 2.4 it's good but hates anything above 4krpm and is a torque mechine

rt's and st's are the same bar a few little things st's have the 2s and rt's have the 22r some SOME! rt's avantes JDM YO had irs'ed f series rear ends and rear disc's

the poo poo cheap skake models had the singal head light which looks the ghay some had the full feature rear lights like mine and some had the flat cheasted ones with the 2 black lines threw them

with the good models aka inbuilt high beam head lights they came with to diffrent types of grills one like mine the "mesh" type and the rarer speed fluts looking one

later model ones came out with big arsed bumpers which are massive kinda like U.S spec

rt's came with w5x's st's came with borgies some say there crap some say there the kuda old skool rotary nuts run them behind 12a's i think so yeh

they are the same chassis's just diffrent diff/tranny/engine combos

ah i think thats abooot it oh and befor yous ask YES THEY ARE RWD
