Thread: check this out found one of these fs in japan

    hi guys i thought some of u guys might be interested in seeing the fly wheel and clutch setup on a n2 4ag ae86 race car in japan. this was up for sale in japan when i saw it i was like dam!!!!!! very crazy design much like the clutch setup on a indy car

    oh yeah fly wheel only weighed in at 2.3kg from memory lol crazy!!!!

    ill post a pic up of myne when i upload it but when i opend the box the first thing i thought was this cant be safe hehe tis about 4 kg if that.

    I was at a hillclimb a year ago, and one of the fastest guys was in a Escort with a hot N/A motor. But he said he had trouble because the flywheel was too light. The motor probably reved to 9 but as soon as he took his foot off revs dropped too quick and he had no torque for the next gear, or something like that. With a flywheel that light you also have to rev the motor a fair bit just to take off in traffic without stalling it. But for a full race car you do anything for less weight.

    yeh i lost a bit of torque even boosted.

    if you dont ride it, fairly long...but then again... those clutches arent made to last more than a few races anyway

    dare i ask how much its worth mark

    wasn't too bad actually ended up going for around 2k with fly wheel and brand new ap clutch.
