funny you say that cause we got a 2 foot snow fall and with out lsd i dont think i would have gone no where but i had to go to the store and had to drive thru about a foot of snow... never got stuck, just kept on truckin thru, thats why toyotas are so great.
so any way, i had a crazy idea to put a 7mgte into it but the r154 tranny would make it too long to fit, id have to pull out the radiator and support then move the radiator. if i had a shorter gear box the engine would fit. so my newest question is this: will the w55 or w58 hold up to a 7mgte?
yeah its kinda heavy but it would move that little car like a raped date. weighs 2400 lbs whereas the supra weighs 3300-3400 lbs range.
i guess it doesnt much matter at this point any way, if i did go thru with a 7mgte swap what car (or truck) would the best dif come from that would fit in that car? im not looking to pull out the solid axle and do independent suspension tho. or a good gear ratio to go with.
they dont have those models here in the US but i do know of them. ill have to look at ebay and maybe some junk yards. dealer as a last resort cause they rape you there. i paid $800 for the 2 piece bumper set (front bumper) for my 89 supra at the dealer, if i go to my buddy i can get a whole car for 800 but i was a youngin back then... its all a learning experiance
oh by the way, what years are best? and a gear ratio would make my searches easier
