not possible hachi 2 door ke 4 door = longer distance to rear mounting points for one

It fits just needs to be extended thats all, which is just a cut and weld job, if you know someone they will do it on the cheap.

umm they fit fine, i've done it.

the distances etc are the same

you can only use an 86 halfcage, a full cage won't fit due to different a pillar profiles.

also the main hoop will sit a little lower in a 70 as the 86 has a lower roof profile. so rear vision can be affected.

but yes and will fit and work the same as an 86, if still in doubt trial fit first.

also driftke70 has an 86 cage in his 70 so drop him a pm and he can fill you in

That's a dangerous thing to do - the main hoop of the cage should be as close to the roof as possible, to keep it away from your head, as that's why we have a cage, to stop you head getting smacked.
If you're only talking less than a centimetre though then that should be fine.

yeah i can't remeber the exact measurement.

But the cage isn't lower than the drivers head it is in the same position as it would be in an AE86 just the turret is taller as the 70 is your typical sedan whereas the AE86 is a fooly sik sports coupe.
