    hey peoples, just wondering, i am 99% sure i have a smallport, i was 100% until jono came round this arvo,,,now i am wanting to know

    will a rwd t-vis intake manifold bolt straight onto a smallport head???/

    please tell me if you know ay....thanks guys

    Smallports dont have tvis, Why do you want to add it ?

    he has a rwd intake and its t-vis, i didnt think the smallport came in rwd and i thought you needed an adaptor for the rwd manifold.

    you do need an adaptor.

    a RWD manifold WILL NOT bolt straight up to a small port. you need the adaptor most readily available through T3, or you can get a "cut and shut" manifold made, which in my opinion would be more cost effective.

    i have a smallport. and a tvis bolted straight on. except block had a large oval shape and the manifold had 2 smaller holes for each cylinder...still fitted fine though....dont tell me i have a fuckin bigport?

    that could well be a bigport, dont judge it by the color of the writing on the cam covers.

    dambit, the dude i bought it off, got it off his mate, and they took it out of an ae82(i think, not sure tho) and then they wanted to supercharge the car it came out of so they took this engine out to put a gze in coz they couldnt supercharge that engine.......fuck im confused, and yea i put the pic up to prove that it bolted straight on

    Actually, a big port (RWD and early FWD) WILL bolt straight on. Just that the ports will not line up. If you put small port inlet n bigport head you get air gaps and subsequent problems. I think the way youre asing about works alittle better but still not recommended at all.

    didnt the red top come tvis aswell?, check the ribs on the block? 5 is big 7 is small? i think thats how i read it on bill sherwoods page
