Anybody heard the pros and cons etc of the different LSD's available? Im in the market now, and thinking of buying brand new.

Theres TRD/KAAZ/Tomei/Cusco? I think thats pretty much it.

I believe KAAZ is the cheaper alternative, not by much but. All the others i have seen are around the $1200ish mark.

    Thanks

Heres a little read for you.

Everybody will have a different opinion on whats better, for what reason etc.

From what I researched, TRD's are tighter than the Kaaz's, but becuase of this are a little more unpredictable than them as well. I didnt research the cusco's much at all.

You can pick up a Kaaz 2way for under $1000 from RMS in melbourne.

TRD LSD's you can purchase rebuild kits for about $600.

But I doubt you'll need to rebuild your LSD anytime soon if you purchase a new one, and change the oil when needed.

I bought A kaaz 2way, but start searching, filter through all the crap, and goodluck making up your mind!

i have used both KAAZ and currently a TRD 2 Way. much of a muchness really. TRD is definately tighter than the KAAZ, it chirps and shudders when cornering tight, whereas the KAAZ was silky smooth. both do as they are meant to, i couldn't pick a better performer of the two, but i am not really in a place to judge either. i am by no means a competent drifter or racer, so tech advice would be better heed from others

i have also had a trd and kaaz both 2 way...trd ones are cast and the kaaz ones are machined if that makes any difference
i bought a brand new kaaz a couple of months ago.. then got it tighten heaps tight when i got a new pinion seal put in.

I say that difference in condition will far outweigh difference in quality.

However between new units, go with whatever is going at a good price. I think all of the good brands will do the job well.
