at the moment its got no rear bumper on the back at all, so kinda hoping i don't get done for that, no number plate light etc

woo!! mission indeed.
to explain, we used the standard metal mount the plastic bumper used.. hacked the crap out of it with an angle grinder.. bolted the chrome bar over the top.
then... shortened, and moved the parts that bolt onto the actual car as you can see.
its MY awful welding job so dont blame dave for that heheh
here's a pic to show how we shortened the mounts.. cut about 55mm out of them, then welded them back together. this was before we moved them.
IT LOOKS RAD DAVE!!!!!!
also i think there's probably a law about angle grinding and welding on the nature strip..
