Have you got a JDM headlight /charge loom or ADM.
I need a little help with the JDM letterbox Grills.
Will they fit the standard place from an ADM Grill or do i need to also buy JDM Front lights as well?
It might sound a stupid question but i cant find a decent answer.
Also how do i wire up the yellow foggies that shine through the grill?
coz i was thinking that i would make up my own bracket for them if i can still use the ADM Headlights.
Cheers Dan

I am running ADM lights with JDM Grille and Foggies. JDM lights with brackets were too hard to find under $500!
The foggies will never fit ADM lights. I made up some brackets for the grille and then foggies and ran a new circuit with a relay for the lights.
They are only 35W each, so 2.5mm cable was enough, but I didn't want to combine with low/high beam, so I can run them on their own if I wish. (JDM Stylz)

you will need to run the fog lights through a relay, 35w each = 70 watt = 5.8amps....
either use the high beam as trigger for the relay or have a remote switch in the cabin (i think to be legal you have to have it on a seperate switch?)
if you want a hand with wiring i can draw up a diagram for you, pm me if you want

Ok awesome, so i can use the ADM lights with the JDM Grill. Yeh i thought that just tapping into the normal loom wasn't a good idea.
Parrot: Ive only got an ADM loom.
if you have the foglight brackets just trim the 2 clips on the adm headlights that hold the original grill, then the foglight brakets will fit etc etc and then just hook up relays like mentioned above.. chaga chan !
Sorry for taking a while, was OS getting my oil cooler setup![]()
Attached is a circuit diagram I copied from a Hella Foglight kit box.
I am going to use this on mine with the one difference being that I have a JDM light circuit which contains the basic wiring from the switch to just before the front light valance panel on the inner guard. Not sure if it incorporates the low beam active though presume it does. Easy enough to alter if it doesn't. Note that it is a legal requirement that the fogs only work in concert with your headlights, though you would want them to work with your low beam, not high beam as mentioned above. Having said that, I realise no one actually wants them for better visibility in fog!
The letterbox grill doesn't fit properly to the ADM lights however you can cobble them together with cable ties and so on.

yepp thats how its done^^^
except make sure you mount the lights well (not cable ties) cause otherwise the lights will bounce around and flicker in other drivers eyes.

JDM Grills with Foglights are designed to be used with Kouki model Headlights as the Kouki headlights have a bracket which the foglights are BOLTED onto and clips for the grill to sit tight.
People have used cable ties to attach the grill, but securing the foglights are going to require a bracket.

this might seem obvious but don't forget a fuse in there somewhere![]()
