You'd better off getting some rails made specifically for AE86 from Japan, such as Bride rails.
OK, so I got myself a pair of aftermarket reclinable seats.
I need the brackets but autotecnica does not make them for the Trueno.
Anyone have recommendations where in WA I can get a set made up and possibly have the seats installed?
Thanks

yeah some proper rails that sit low cause autotecnica seats will sit high on modified standard rails
I did a search online and found that there are a few types of bride seat rails, which one should I get?
Type-HL: Reclinable seats (CUGA / VORGA TYPE-HL)
Type-RO: Reclinable seats (PROS / STRADIA / CUGA / VORGA)
Type-MO: Reclinable seats (EURO II / Old model reclining / Other sport seat maker)
Type-FO: Bucket seats (ALL BRIDE FULL BUCKET SEATS)
Type-FG: Bucket seats (ALL BRIDE FULL BUCKET SEATS)
Type-LR: Reclinable Seat (GIAS / STRADIA Seat Only)
Type-LF: Bucket seats (Low Max System)
pretty sure kyp has a few 86 seat rails around. take your seat and see if they match the bolt patterns on the rails. I had to order the Bride RS seat rail to suit the seats bolt pattern.
try hunt around for a some seat specs to see what measurements you need for bolt holes. alternatively a drill and a welder are also viable options when fitting a new bucket seat.
angle grinder + welder possibilites are endless!!
but it pisses me off when people assume your hooning cos your car is loud, has bald tires, a roll cage, fresh bake and dinted bumpers!!
Or driving in a wolf pack.
alas for me, skill = zero![]()
you have 86 club member at disposal. offer punch and pie for work done![]()
I'll even throw in a 6 pack of beer if someone can help me get the seats bolted onto rails and into the car!![]()
