Does anyone do an off the shelf cat back exhaust for an 86 in australia? I'd like a jap one but funding won't permit, And i could get an exhaust shop to fabricate one , but all the exhaust shops around here (sunny coast qld) do pretty ordinary work. I know this from experience.
only thing you would be able to do is to get a exhaust shop to make one up for you , it really shouldnt cost to much its just some pieces of tubing welded together. Japanese branded exhausts HKS, rein hard, trust/greddy all make them, but these will all cost around the $1000 mark or upwards.
Do you already have extractors or is it for a 4ac?
The main difference I see with the Jap brand bolt on ones:
1. flanges to bolt together, no welding or cutting to get off later.
2. smoother bends, often under diff
3. often stainless steel
If you don't ask, the exhaust shop will not give you bolt together flanges. It will cost a bit more, but its a good idea.

another point to note is that the jap ones sound about 10 times better than anything i've ever seen/heard on a car in Aus too

man when I got my system done I walked in with a piece of paper with everything I wanted drawn and explained.. the dude was like wtf.. do you want a job here man.. lol.. ended up with it just how I want it pretty much and the note is sweet...
still got the piece of paper with the plans..
just give marky mark a couple of j bags and i'm sure he'll give you a good discount.

i should probs go get my exhaust done sometime. he owes me from when my car fell of a hoist. lol.
