Yeah, just wanted to know what people would have in a big custom tool box if they had the dosh. Basically split what you'd put in to two catagories; essential and ideal items.
I've got really no idea what I'd want, but I'll start it off.
Essential
Socket set (1/2" drive, 8mm to 24mm as well as their imperial equivilent)
Good ratchet (obviously 1/2" drive)
Extension bars (1/2" drive... captain obvious strikes again)
Spanner set (8mm to 24mm and their imperial equivilent)
3-5 slotted screwdrivers (from 3mm to 8mm)
3-5 Philips head screwdrivers (Ph0 to maybe.... Ph5?)
Good hammer
Good rubber mallet
A mid-sized vice grip
Zip ties
Torque wrench/ratchet
One adjustable wrench
Ideal
Deep socket set
1/4" and 3/8" ratchets + sockets
More screwdrivers and vice grips in different sizes
Bigger mallet
More sets of pliers (inc circlip pliers)

Ill dream up a proper one later tonight, but i reckon i would HAVE to have 3/8 drive ratchet... 1/2 inch you snap to much shit when working with the delicate crap!
Decent torch is always handy too. Small maglite or something.
a basic toolkit must be at least a decent spanner set, decent screwdriver and various pliers set, decent 3/8 drive ratchet set witha short and long ratchet, 1/2 drive set with a breaker bar and a rattle gun and a fe wother little things like a couple of different hammers and a lever bar.
when you want to get serious you start looking at several types of spanner sets.. open ender, ring, long, weird shapes ect. specialist pliers, specialist tools like slide hammers ect.
you can spend tens of thousands on tools, and still not have the one you need.
I love tools
Portable Butane torches are a must as well. Great for burning shit when you get angry, one million times better than a stressball.
a tool box full of midgets of do all the work for me.
my toolboxes are always empty, for some insane reason i put all my tools on the floor in front of the box.

10mm pipe spanner (brake lines)
17mm impact socket 1/2" drive (trailing arms, LCA's, crossmembers)
19mm impact socket 1/2" drive (wheel nuts)
21mm impact socket 1/2" drive (wheel nuts)
1/2" drive breaker bar (wheel nuts, also can be used as a substitute for strength)
pliers (shit head clips that hold the brake lines on to the chassis, split pins etc)

The one thing I wish that I had was a propper terminal crimper that crimps the terminals like the factory ones...
