Cheers buddy, I usually go to the north eastern suburbs to get tyres! Ive always thought it sounds like a whipper snipper! I hate it, but i've gotten use to it and dont really care!
I got EPA'd for noise though last week so im going to have to do something about the noise in a few weeks and get it tested.
Went back to the diff shop today, he told me the strange noise is the clutch plates still wearing in, which is re-assuring.
He gave me some additive oil to add to the diff to help lubricate things a little more. No idea what it is, he just told me it was "special oil" in his Polish accent.
So its happy happy slide time for me!
What LSD is it?
Mine (Kaaz) makes noise as well 'clickly clanky noise' at low speed tuning, but from other 86's i've driven with LSD's it seems normal. And i've been told to expect that sort of stuff. Just blends in with the other 3895 noises the car makes.
Yeh its a Kaaz, and its only doing it at low speed and full lock, like turning into car parks.
A friends car with the same diff setup doesn't make the noises which is why I was worried at first.
I just like knowing what all the little noises are, and where there coming from. That way its harmony, but when theres a new one, panic sets in, usually followed by a shrug of the shoulders and a "meh"!
Where and how much to get your diff done? Looking to get mine done.
Nice automobile.

whipper snipper.. :greenbounce: well i've just had rust cut out of the exhaust so it doesn't sound like a honda... autoline in greensborough are great guys. looking to get my jdm rear end fitted, where is a reliable diff place?
I went to Rucpol Differentials in Mordialloc, phone number (03)95806215
Im happy with the service I got from them. So is another member on here who used them.
Winton Pics!
Had a Sprint day at Winton on the weekend, I got second in my class (over 2L Street registered). With a best lap of 1.46.4
It was my first time on the track so I learnt alot, and spun a heap from breaking to deep!
My car held up fine, but my brakes were a justa so im going to be playing around with that a little more to help with the brake fade.
Current setup is;
Front; JDM calipers, Race Brake RB74 Pads, JDM Vented Disc
Rear; JDM caliper, Lucas Pad, JDM solid disc.
Brake fluid; Motul RBF600.
So if you have any advice for me on my brake setup let me know.
My Big off at the end of the day!
