Worst thing is that they could quite easily have done it well, instead of an abortion. I mean two appropriate sized pipe bends and a simple 2.5" collector would have been a piece of piss to make.

It is a september 1984 build AE71 Spirit.
The front panels are early KE70, I presume its been in a bingle at some point.
