I add this in here mainly as it contains some photos of the planetary type reduction starter, both for size comparison and also shows the internal appearance.

So If I were to buy a 1984-89 4AGE lightened flywheel and clutch combo for my 20V BT, could I simply use the 4AC starter instead of the BT starter and all would be good? I ask because 20V BT lightened flywheels and clutches costs a fair bit more and If I can get away with using a 16V flywheel, then why not?

I assume you have a AE86. You have to use the 4A-C starter. The 20valve one will not fit. You can use any 4A-GE flywheel you choose. But the 4A-GZE flywheel may make the clutch hit a little bit to start with.
