as stated, i know the drill for the fixed cameras and red light cameras... trust me...

but went down to canberra for a party... on at least 2 occasions i spotted some policemanz pointing their shizzle at me, and on said 2 occasions i was like 20 over the limit, and just let off the gas and swore, quietly and repeatedly, at myself.

question: the fact they didnt send the chaser after me means i'm okay? or do i have nice letters on the way in the mail....

oh and whats up with canberra having their red light cameras double up as speed cameras? who knows it could be the most expensive party i've ever been to.

edit: the party was pretty crap too, slept on the back seat of the '70. was woken by the sun proceeding to bake me in my greenhouse of 80's toyota glass.

If there wasn't a camera attached, then you probably won't have been done. Sometimes they either just let you go, or they have another target. Or your speedo's wrong

I remember driving home one night from work in the company car (Daewoo Lanos 2003 model ftl). It was like 11pm and I thought 'bugger it, I'll speed home'. Was doing 120kmh down a road back to my place, and a cop car came the other way. I didn't slow down or jump on the brakes, I just kept at the same speed. They didn't follow me

if the cops didnt chase you then it means u havnt been done, and unless those red light cameras had sings sayin speed camera ahead then they wernt speed cameras and if they were they arnt aloud to fine you if there is no signs

The don't necessarily have to chase you, they could of had the camera in their cars but you would of seen the flash. I see people get done by them heaps. They are bastards, they display signs that like like 100mm by 100mm and behind a bush.

Thats not true. Almost all red light cameras in SA are also speed cameras, and I'm sure that none of them have signs warning of speed cameras.

yeh the rules in NSW are that they must have 3 signs for stationary speed cameras

only on permanent speed camera's.. they now setup portable in-car camera's in police station wagons ( mainly falcon wagons) and after u pass the wagon on the side of the road, u see a blue and white sign " speed camera in use"... see it prob once every 2 weeks now.. gets people all the time...
