It seems to be the same story, any where i ring..
straight line depreciation is my worst enemy!

Does any one know a company that offers finance for old used cars such as the ae86
Being the enthusiast it seems that the company's dont look past the red book,
But there are insurance company's that do!

Was just wondering is there a financial institution
that lends money and acknowledges the current market value for some used enthusiast cars.
that are older then the 12 year lending cut off.

i don't have any collateral,
I've never had a loan before,
and im nearly 19.


most major banks want me to be earning like 60k a year before i could even borrow 10k.

Any one got any other ideas?
or know a good bank that might consider me for a personal loan tried,
credit unions but they are useless, ive also said they can go direct debit on my account for the money every pay and they still wont.

i walked into a bank here (bank sa) and walked out with 8k no questions asked.... pretty much threw it at me...

back then i earnt 350 a week to... paying rent and another 3k loan etc...

edit... jus realised you told them what you are 'actually' purchasing... dont tell em old car = cash

i got 8k for my hachi no worries that was a personal loan through commonwealth bank and i think i was earning something stupid like 270 a week take home

but got the loan approved all sweet

i had 6k saved up in like 4 months walked into a bank to get 10k over 7 years as a personal loan n they declined me....scumbags.... if they accepted it i would'v had iae86 in my driveway now but ohwell thats just how it goes sometimes. make an appointment to see commonwealth's bank manager and he/she can make a personal decision rather than a computer going off certain criteria.... make sure its a personal loan and just say its for like an 02 echo or something gay n new

if i say i want a personal loan, but im looking at common car be it, commadore falcon. they shouldnt really ask any more questions?

if your and your folks get alongy VERy well, ask if you can borrow money off their homeloan or whatever, and the interest is cheap as.
