    Hi all,

I bought my ADM sprinter with Lovell Super low springs on all corners in it already (put in by previous owner) and not sure what sort shocks.

But lately i noticed the ride is getting bumpy and handling a bit worse.

I did the push down test on each corner and it dips like a bastard. Also it bounces a few times before stopping.

What will I need to replace?
Is it only the shocks that I need replaced? Springs dont go out that quickly do they?

What are some decent shocks I can get that arent expensive that will go with my Lovell springs.
Want a good ride that will handle well. Also hopinh to learn to drift one day. please recommend.

Are Pedders any good to go to?

Are shocks something that you only buy brand new or are 2nd hand okay too?

And are lovel super low springs decent sort?

    thanks for any advice.

    Shocks

    Yes

    KYB Excel G's from AJPS

    Buy new

get them to install you products, dont buy theirs

decent for looking hektic, but the spring rates would be too soft for any serious street or track use

    Thanks for the reply.
I was told that only my rears need changing soon.

Reckon I should change all 4 with KYB Excel Gs or can Iget away with just doing the rears an notice an improvement in handling?

Do the Excel G's increase the ride height at all? I like mine atm, nice and low

Also how much do places charge for fitting? are Pedders cheap?

I have recently only replaced my rears and while it is a noticable improvement it only highlights the stock front shocks crapness so it almost feels worse than stock. Definately worth replacing all round for a much more balanced and nicer ride which is what im currently saving for.

It shouldnt increase your ride height as springs determine ride height, not your shocks. However given that the excel g's are stiffer it could raise it very slightly but im unsure. If the car is quite low i would say go for the short stroke version front and rear.

Not sure about fitting charges, probably around the 150 mark at most. Don't know about pedders, just go to any suspension joint and get quotes.

The excels should be short stroke, so the hight issue won't be a problem. Replacing all round would be the way to go, only replacing the rears would cause a problem I feel, and possibly dangerous on the street, let alone the track (if applicable). Not sure about fitting charges at Pedders, mine were fitted by the previous owner at a friends garage (I was there too, cost only a couple of 4 packs of V )

Put them in yourself. Its dead easy. All you need is a big shifter/pipe wrench, sockets, ratchet spanners and a jack.

    Save money. Buy more suspension.
