For the same month and year, the 20v 4A-GE has the same crank and rods and bearings as a 4A-GZE. The rods were updated a few times but the 4A-GE and 4A-GZE both got the same. Bearings are the same as in 4A-FE. Oil squirters same in both engines.
The AE101 4A-GZE has the old style AE92/AE86 type sump and baffle and matching block. The AE101 20 valve has a bit cut out of the sump and the matching block. The only reason for this I know of is to clear the transfer case on some 4WD models, just like the AE95 sump/block.
