locked diff/axle durabilty

hey all

quick questions just wondering how long does your axles last in you locked diff(borgy/T or S series).
I'm considering welding up my borgy till i get a t series with a 2 way an would like a ruff idea of how fast i need to come up with the cash.
My driving style is fairly sedate but it does get about a half hour of thrashing a week in total probably , although though this may increase with the reduction of the chance of busting singles.
