yeh the hachi is the begiinig of the set of design values of the 1990s. the plastic bumpers and trims, it just doesnt mesh with the fender mirror style.
as said by many posts thus far, the mirrors belong on cars around 1980 or older. full stop.
the picture posted however, doesn't offend me too much, due to the one saving grace that they are black plastic. if youre a hachi man and dead keen on fender mirrors, please go the black plastic, as it is at least in keeping with the other black plastic body mouldings.
personally feel the hachi missed out on fender mirror cred. by about 5 years, but each man to his own, just make sure theyre like the ones in the pic, and keep it period correct.
10 times outta 10, the reasons ugly hachis are ugly, is that they aren't period correct. This is simply vital people...
quick edit: that is to say black plastic is mildly acceptable, but chrome would be a fucktard choice as the hachi is post chrome-era.
