this question is for those of you that have done the Sr20det brake up grade.

what wheels & wheel offset's do you run? im doing this conversion at the moment and im jsut wondering what i can get away with, id rather not run spacers or wheel addaptors but i want a low offset wheel as well.

whats a wheel with a low offset that has enough clearance?

Seeing as S13 SR20 brakes are only single piston there is approx SFA outboard of the disc. So even wheels with an entirely flat back face (wheel mounting face is basically the same plane as the back of the spokes) should clear.

15 by 6 superlites clear them, and they only have 5-6mm outoard of the mounting face behind the spokes.

thats good news, so what your saying hen, its not the offset that counts on the single pot det brakes but the design of the rim itself?

so if i was to get some of those kong 15x7 0 off rims that should be fine or even some SSR MKI's

ive tryed them with my +20 15X6 soarer wheels and i think i need about 8 ~ 12mm spacer due to the inside of the rim curving back towards the mounting face.

    thanks for the info hen.

Yeah, the offset doesn't really matter. It is just how the back of the spokes curve away from the mounting face. The Superlites that I have are 15 by 6 and +26 and they fit fine.

I'm suprised the soarer wheels hit. MX73 will clear everything under the sun though, so that's an option.

i was also suprised, i put the stub axle unit in the rim and spun it around and it left a nice circle on the inside about 2/3's out from the center. might try find some MX73 rims to run on the front untill i get some nicer rims.

what are the specs of MX73 rims? same as soarer jsut with a very flat mounting face?

15 by 6, around +20something offset. Can fit 4 pots inside them, heaps of room behind the spokes.
