thats a 2 pinion LSD, zenki axle type. Not the best thing toyota made, won't handle big h/p

I believe it to be a 2-way. It should lock on acceleration and deceleration.

really? i have one of these also but its a kouki one. would be good if it was a two way!
It is a factory 1 way. locks only on acceleration.
And how did you know it was a 1-way? You looked inside and figured it out or just heard from someone else?
I have enough diagrams and pics to know how this works, but I could do with some close up photos.

ALL of our factory USDM LSDs, whether kouki or zenki, came with only a 1 way. no such thing as a USDM 1.5 or 2 way.
Just tell me how you worked out the diff is a 1-way. Did you read it in the Toyota manual? Someone told you? Read it on a forum? You looked inside it yourself?
I was at Aarons house when he showed me the diff. And like i said, all USDM lsd's in 86's are 1 way.
