ok rather than laugh and make jokes ill give u my info i have learnt... guys give him a break, before your toyota days i doubt you knew this either so stop being dickhead know-it-all gurus.

i have 15 x 6.5 inch r31 skyline wheels on my car, i run 8mm spacers or the wheels rub on the strut, buy yourself some 8mm spacers and see how much gap ypu have, my guards have been flared also, but i still have heaps of room anyways. tyres are 195/60/r15's, anything bigger and your wasting your time.

on my rear i have same rims with 205/65/r15's and they fit with no spacers, the tyres are ghey but might as well thrash them before putting 195s on.

result, buy yourself some 8mm spacers mate and 195 60 tyres and you should be fine, my car is lowered with rolled guards too, but i reckon you should be fine without it

    good luck, Dave

I'd suggest running 25mm spacers with those wheels if you want more track than stock 13" wheels.

I would highly reccomend against running any 15" tyre front or rear above a 55 profile at worst.

IMO the optimum range of wheels and tyres to fit to a KE/AE:

    Wheels - any 13, 14 or 15" at least 6.5" wide
Offset - ranging from +15 to -15 (or more negative if you have guards to suit)
    Tyres - for 13" wheels - 175/60 or 175/65 or 185/60 or 185/65
    for 14" wheels - 185/55 or 185/60 or (195/60 or 175/65 at worst)
    for 15" wheels - 185/55 or 195/45 or 195/50 or 205/50 at worst

^^ i can see where your coming from, knowone wants to drive my car cause the steering is too heavy

my setup is, ke70, s13 front end (i hear its simliar to ae86 power steering arms?), 15x7" rims i think, with 195/50 tyres, and a home made wheel alignemnt that scrubs my front tyres like crazy but they are crap tyres anyway

the steering is quite heavy, i dont have much trouble in car parks, but ive always had non power steering, so i guess im used to it. dry steering is a non event. im yet to do a 3-point turn, as my car has so much lock i just turn around no the spot almost (nah just kidding, 3-point turns are ok, so long as you dont dry stear)

Remember the tyre determines how hard it is to turn, cause its the amount of tyre on the ground that resists turning, not the width of the rim."

    talking purely non powerstering terms-
my oppinoin is that any wider rim than standard (standard is like 5" maybe?) is obviously gonna be harder to turn the wheel, ESPECIALLY at uber low speeds. and when starting to add parts (power steering arms, whatever increases lock) its gonna get harder again, theres really no way of avoiding it.

only way to make it "easier to turn" at low speeds, would be to either decrease the tyres width, or dial in a CRAPLOAD of negative camber that gets the rubber off the ground . also make sure you get a decent wheel alignment, makes a massive difference.

    my oppinion anyway

easy solution - dont go shopping at carparks, order all your food over the internet
