Im fitting a ea falcon head light switch into my ae86 and there is a bit of a problem then are 4 wires in the car but the switch has 7 wires does anyone know which colours match up and what else i need to do to get it all working
Thanks for your help
Cheers

i think that 3 wires are for off, parkers, headlights and the others are for dashlight dimmers low, meduim and bright and interior light
Ok ive got it down to
Red with yellow is Headlight
White with Black is Parklight
but when i try to conect them there is a buzzing noise and the dash lights dont work
its very hard to help you out over text based, but all i can sudgest is just do alot of experimentation.
stick the old switch back in, and find out exactly what each of the 4 wires do.
then get the new switch, and analyise what each wire does with respect to other wires. im guessing there will be a main positive wire that comes in, and this is switched to the other wires to get parkers/light etc.

Bring it round to my place after the exams(2 weeks time) and I'll fix it for you.
W-B is not parklight. W-B is always earth.
R-Y is headlight like you have said.
I am starting to think G is park light.
R-G is high beam.
