Lol, so it was, but i have been thinking about it in great detail so i thought i might bring it up with Sam.

Damn, i wont be home until 6 lol. Ah well hopefully i can catch you some other time.

I think that the extra machining costs would be worth it.... especially once you consider the price of a dry sump setup... I will certainly be looking into it further anyway.

No i havent seen your thread man.

Im planning on running scrapers on my 4age, with a dry sump setup. I stole the idea from a Gallardo engine that i disassembled.

I can definately see the benefits in knife edging + scrapers. It should help to give a bit more power, but i dont think it is necessary in a less extravagant build...

I like the crank scraper idea because it would cost next to nothing

It depends how efficient you want to be.....

Getting it to a fraction of a mm is beyond me, so i would have to take it to a engineering place, But ti isnt that expensive

you can buy a dry setup from TRD, i have the part numbers in that book.

if your pushing the aboslute limits then you need to do everything you can. sounds like sam is going to build a off tap dry sump now

nah I am on a strict budget, I will very likely make mine out of carboard, trace it to steel oversize, cut it out then fine tune it with a file till its exactly right
