yes they are normal stroke unfortunately. depends how low you are going to have your car? i have had cutties in the rear for 6 months with standard shocks. a mate before had the springs in his car for 18months with totally rooted non working standard shock, never had them fallout or become misaligned. im not sure about stiff springs, you would probably have a bigger chance trouble with them. if you like to barrel over speed humps or do motorkanas etc these arnt the shocks for you.

i have a pair of rear shocks kyb excell g but not the normal fitment. these are very very very stiff and short stroke they would keep even the shortest cut springs captive and theyve only done about 100klms street driving , i took them outa my daily coz theyre too stiff pm if ur interested

Go to your local 4wd store like TJM and ask them to get the 'heavy duty' suzuki sierra kyb excel g fronts. They are used by the hardcore offroad rock crawling four wheel drivers as an upgrade. You get the super short stroke still, but with an extra 20% (i think? could be 40%!) stiffer valving, should definately stiff enough for your application, which i wouldn't mind knowing!

    What springs are you running?

in the rear im running ford falcon pedders sports ryders, way too stiff for the excel g's i got, they cant keep up with the oscillations. rear end bounces all round the party during dori time.
