Hi guys,
i'm looking at shipping things from Japan over air freight, anyone have any idea what costs there are when it lands? I was told that there aren't any additional costs when it lands unless they stop it and check, which won't happen often. Just wanted to see if anyone knew any more info about it.
thanks,
Ken

just remember not everything goes off weight
for example the JDM yo! Keto lip i just brought over weighs between 2-3 kilo's, i was charged only the $60 odd, but it was a clerical error and i should have been charged a lot more due to the length (size) of the object
kit parts would fetch higher freight prices i reckon even though they weigh next to nothing
yeah thats also true. a fibreglass front bar weights fuck all but will cost over 120, due to the size
i just got a box of magazines and it cost me 150 for freight due to the weight. they are heavy suckers.
thx for the prices, i know the actual shipping costs but is there any bullshit like customs when it gets here?
i never got any extra fees once landed
only on containers, like whats going to happen to me.![]()
If the value of the shipment is less than AUD 1000, then there will be no duty or GST payable on imporartion.
If the value is over $1K then you will be up for duty & GST. Duty on parts for passenger cars is 10%, Duty on parts for other vehicles is 5%. GST is 10%.
