Cheaper if you don't get confused reading that and make about 20 before you understand what you've read... and I know who your talking about
is that for rwd cooling???? pretty sure we could make it ourselves with the help of jase and jase, i can fabricate it and just get jase(2nd jase) to weld it up for you for a small fee, wuld work out much cheaper

16V is easiest, and prolly best bang for buck, if you managed to find a JDM RWD manifold (check ebay, they come up often), then big port is your friend, just keep your eyes open on the forums for them, but if you manage to get a smallport engine with FWD manifold, then you can prolly get the FWD manifold cut n' shut, for about same price as a bigport RWD manifold. i guess its just kinda luck/opportunity i spose.
Try and pick up your engine/loom/ecu from forums, as from what ive seen 'engine packages" generally seem to be pretty expensive but then again if you got the money, engine packages are prolly easier than scrounging around forums, up to you

OK. so TWO questions...
1) 20v Conversion - did i miss any parts required?
- is the cost really more like $7-8K or higher?
2) RWD JDM 16v Bigport - Can it be modded later with mild work (cams, little head, tune, mayb ecu) and be the same as a smallport with the same mods?
Dan.
i did the JDM 16v Bigport conversion in my ke70 end of last year and i paid $1600 for engine, JDM-t-50 with trd shortshift kit & 3-puck clutch, un-cut loom, ecu, extractors, clutch lines & slaves. I also paid an extra $200 for a full JDM tailshaft to make it easy. Also got t-18 diff, all the conversion stuff needed for the ke70 (x-members, pedal box, radiator etc etc). then ya got your fuel pumps etc like someones mentioned, possibly new hosing for fuel lines (not the metal lines, but rubber lines to cope with the high psi). probably recommend doing gaskets and filters etc too while its not in a car. In total, i think the total conversion cost me about $3k, and that was doing it with a couple of mates and just buying the engine from an importer as i couldnt be stuffed hunting around for a complete setup off here or ebay. Awesome setup though and pretty easy to do if you do your research. You wont regret it if you do it. Id recommend the extra $$$ for JDM though, and will save you cutting & shutting stuff. Good luck which-ever way you go :2thumbs:

16v are alot easier to modify as parts are really easy to get aftermarket, my jdm 16v went pretty good for what it was and it was near death, they just keep on chuggin along haha, u buy all the shit to do the jdm conversion and ill put it in, will do most of the wiring but theres a few bits im unsure of, all u have to do is supply the beer whilst i am wherever your car will be when the conversion goes down, ill supply my smokes haha.... sound good????
im serious too, i wanna see you do this conversion, get it done, and drive it, instead of asking all the questions bout it, just do it and drive it, u will love it
you also need a new fuel pump and associated EFI hose.
