the one on the block has no specific name it just replaces the oil filter and supplies the relocator with oil and has a return for when the oil comes back (cooled). the relocator has a thermostat fitted, that particular item had a 80*c thermostat.

that setup worked as follows

oil to relocator
through filter
through cooler
back through relocator
back into engine
cooler oil is used by the engine

the original 4AGE setup uses the sump return as it cools the oil after its used then drains back to the sump

both work

the first one more effectively IMO
