havent had a chance to dismantle my 86 yet, but if it's anything like the corollas it should be two little bolts behind the door cards. take the compllte door card off and see what you can work out

im installing an ew stereo into my 86 and just wondering how to remove the door handles...
are they just a circlip (i can't see one ) orisnt simple force to get them off, i dont wanna break anything, thats all...

If you mean the arm rest, there are 3 screws underneath some blanking plugs. Pry them out and unscrew.
If you mean the window winders, there is a clip you pull off by hooking a bit of bent wire over it. Just push in the door card a bit and you should be able to see them. To reinstall, place the clip on the winder and just push it back onto the window mechanism.
door handles or window winders?
door handles is one screw behind the handle, undo that then the recessed plastic bit will come away from the trim when you open the handle and manouver it, the handle stays attached to thedoor frame
windows, use a rag to work the circlip off the shaft, the open end is in line with the spinny handle
