Some nice myspace music links of a bit of talent, goes by the name Urthboy, he is the lead single of The Herd. I pre-ordered his new cd, The Signal, pretty quality beats in my opinion.

I suggest you listen to the songs " We get around " " Last Chance " on this link

And " The Signal- Urthboy " on this link. Countbounce has got some skills lol, i like his beats, reminds me of Plutonic.

Hope you all enjoyed it as much as i do

Oh, btw, props to young Breno for referring me to Urthboy in the first place lol.

Aussie hip hop is the best in the world in my opinion. Seriously, it's not up itself and everything like most other hip hop. It does still have some elements of bragging, but in more of a larikin type style. Maybe it's just because it's made with Australia at it's heart that I enjoy more.

If you like this stuff, check out some stuff by:

    Astronomy Class

    Downsyde

    The optimen

    Muph and Plutonic

Just to name a few that spring to mind, besides the hilltop hoods of course, I can't recommend Astronomy Class enough, seriously great album. If you go to their myspace listen to 'a bright tomorow' and if they have it 'rewind the tape'

    enjoy :2thumbs:

Aussie hip hop is relevant. Case closed.

Downsyde ftw lol, love their skits. Muph and Plutonic Silence the Sirens, most chilled album i own. Comfort Zone, What you see is what you get, One side of the bed = word.

Not that keen on Astronomy Class... way to reggae style for me.

Some other bands for you guys to look out for if you like AHH would include The Herd (Urthboy is the lead singer), Delta, Funkoars (actually funniest kents ever, drunken ballads aplenty lol), Pegzzzz (Capricorn cat, Got you sussed with Muph = smooth), Terra Firma, Terntable Jediz and of course anything by the Hoods is a good introduction to the scene.

yeah i can definatley agree with what electric mic is saying...

as for good local stuff id have to say the obviouse hilltops, delta, pegz, train of thought and terra firma
there is a lot of shit acts too matty b,fat face, bliss and esso ( possible byproduct of solvent abuse)...

all in all i just love what thay do with there loops and beats more of a early 90's sound compared to the sythisizer highly gimicky shit thats modern rap/hip-hop also i hate rappers with massive egos i mean it's not to hard to make words rhyme in time to a the beat with a maybe a punchline. that being said the locals have good fast past tounge twisters without the former crack head turn millionare speel of the us shit plus at times it's funny and acutley quite clever.

oh yeah cheers justin for putting us onto rjd2 your a top lad!.
