    Wink

ok this is the story: my friend has an AE82 with a 4agze in it. I am interested in buying it from him. I'm just wondering if a standard T50 can withstand a GZE?

If you love burnouts, drifting, or going to the drags often ... expect to replace it every 6 months

    It's just a generalisation, but it's true

GZE will cain a 20V anyday of the week, especially if it's a daily driver or drifter

a 20V sounds just so hot though plus is newer, and arguably "more fun" to drive because of it's revviness

as 7OXIN said, the T50 will give out eventually behind a GZE, but it comes down to how you treat it.

If your dropping the clutch at decent revs, and snapping gear changes, it wont last that long.

But if you look after it, it will last a fair while.

ahh ok, I'm trying to see what the best set up is to get, which one would I get the most out of??? Down the line thinking of bolting a turbo on, so which would have the better capabilities??? Also what trannie would be suitable?? Cheers

If you want to go turbo, easiest and cheapest way is go the GZE, if your worried about the transmission, use a W58 gearbox.

T50 will be fine with a GZE. Yes, consider it a disposable item, but unless you really thrash the thing we are talking years, not months.

    A W58 conversion will cost from $1500-2500 all up. That's a fair few T50s.

If you have the slightest inkling of wanting to go turbo, buy a GZE no questions asked

20V are NA and should always stay that way, GZE's love turbos

T-50 will last if you respect it a bit not trying to chirp gears or wateva, and still it's usually only the synchros and bearings that go not really the gears literally breaking
