Not from personal experience, but I've heard ZE pistons are VERY good pistons, even in standard form.
Go with option 2 I'd say.
So the Australian Government is paying for my engine rebuild  and i am wondering would would be the better combination for engine durability and power. i am running ZE with T28
I have two options:
Do i spend all my money on a set of oversize arias forged pistons and use all the standard ZE gear.(means i have no money for absolutely anything else <_< )
I CAN BUY A SET WITH RINGS FOR $935
OR
Do i spend the money on oversize toyota genuine ZE pistons but use ARP head studs, better cams and cam gears and a metal head gasket? (then maybe have money left over for nardi wheel and boss kit :2thumbs: )
TOYOTA WANT $550 FOR PISTONS THEN ANOTHER $320 FOR RINGS. ABSOLUTE RIP IMO

how about the second option and get atmo cams to save even more cash, also I wouldn't be suprised if standard head bolts are fine
30kw club
Pardon my newbiness but what are atmo cams?
From an NA (Atmospheric) motor.

Yep, I would say the second option would be the way to go. I like the look of it.
Best of luck dude!
4AGE is here! Cheers 44GTE and Anthony for your help! http://www.ae86drivingclub.com.au/fo...ad.php?t=10384

What am I doing right now? Twitter me!
Is there going to be much hp gain in that though running a turbo setup?
I dont know what he meant by getting NA cams?
I thought that 4AGE and 4AGZE cams are the same?
Its just if you get big cams and you have a large turbo, you will get a lot more lag.
Ie: engine power AND turbo power all coming on late in the rev range, meaning you have no bottom end power.
Keeping standard (or NA???) cams will keep low power so your turbo can reach boost quicker, maybe not giving you the SIK 180rwkw you wanted but something more reasonable like 160 at the rears.
But then again, some of the people with 4AGTEs on here run large cams and turbos in their drift cars, which is where you'd need a lot of power in the mid range. Best to ask them, as they seem to know their stuff.
Orange Charged 86 (Eddy) is one person, i think he knows a good direction to go.
Sorry about all that crap i just wrote lol.
Also maybe an aftermarket computer to get rid of your AFM may be a good option?
Also helps with tuning and detonation when running more power (makes it safer)
lol one more thing, whats wrong with the pistons in there atm? they are ZE items yes?
