Couldn't agree more here, like i understand it will be a fair amount for some, but if you spend your money responsibly, its not a massive jump.
Am amazed at how many people are relying on it, like its a given right, we live here, we voted him in, we want money.

Yes i am getting it, and it will go towards the next car i plan to buy.
In this regard, the economy only really benefits from new goods bought in Australia yes?
I spent mine on car rego, so the government got most of it back anyway. I'm an apprentice so i make shit all, so i was glad to have some money to help me with day-to-day expenses. Not all people who earn low wages are lazy driftke70, we all have to start somewhere...

I don't know were you heard that from, I was a first year apprentice in 2007 - 2008 and only made 13k that year and i got my stimulus today...

driftke70, I have to agree with everything you've said. Unfortantly I'm one of the uni students who finished last year, so i dont get the 900, Also who cant get a job now because the market is flooded with engineers with experience. O well, looks like a graduate engineering with honours is going to be working at coles for a little longer!!
agreed. im just completing my enginering degree.
i have never earnt enough money to qualify for any centrelink payments (and thus wont be getting the student payment stimulus thing). so for last 4 yrs or so ive just been surviving off working 1 or 2 days a week work and hopefully paid enough tax to get the tax benefit thing.
interesting how the gov't works, but i guess its what we have to live with!
If your a uni student, how do you get the $$$? Does it just get dropped into your account eventually?
