86/4runner throttle cables from toyota are $133, here is tips to save your dosh

go to a bike shop, ask for a cable for a REAR shimano cable-operated disc brake (about 2m) should be a thicker gauge cable than a regular cable, and request teflon coated if possible. also, buy a cable knarp which clamps one end of the cable. also buy 'finish line' cable lube, which is the key ingredient.
    shouldn't be more than $30.

measure length, cut old cable off, LUBE the shit out of the housing. (until it's dripping out of the ends a bit) fit new cable, cut to length, knarp pedal end, adjust, and done.

i run a custom linear cable housing, which allows the cable to be binded up 3x itself whilst still retaining smooth operation. on ae101 quad throttle body. pedal feel is as easy as single throttle(standard inlet).

Any lube that goes down a throttle cable should be dry lube. Carbon powder can be bought at any good auto supplies store, don't use WD or anything liquid down the tube, all it'll do is attract dust, and wear out down your new cable.

most people get a small fitting welded on whilst having the manifold cut/shut then use the fitting to mount cable

I welded a plate onto the side of the plenum and bolted a modified 4ac cable holder to that.

Used a starlet throttle cable: plentiful and cheap.

(Stock ADM 4ac cable on bottom, EP91 Starlet cable on top)
