    well hi folks,
i have had the hachi for about a month now.
bought it for a song...a cheap shit one..like the last single i bought
    ...which was...cdb..not

    anyway enough crap.
its a 83 ADM, most of the rust has been removed. will be welding up the holes this week.
it came already stripped with no windscreen and no drivers seat.
so i've only driven it off the towie and up the drive way to the garage.

i've almost cleaned it up....just need to sand/blog/prime and it will be sent off to be painted.
(i'm in SYD inner west, so if anyone knows a place i can get a decent paint job for a decent price let me know)

destroyed the bumper...will fix it. and have also fixed the cracked dash, which is soon to be covered in suede.
    more soon.

    specs:
    -Stock 4AC
-interior stock (stock sports wheel, looks similar to a old skool sparco)
    -stock suspension
-straight through exhaust with magnaflo muffler
    early 90's clarion deck.

parts and mods to be carried out in next couple months
    -14x6.5 simmons rims
    -ducktail wing
    -32/26 weber
    -Upholstered dash
    -new windscreen
    -weld up chassis
-fresh paint (i'm thinking dark chocolate) opinions?
    -rego

    here some pics and vids!

nice work dude, lucky ur wearing the mask, it'd be like a kid getting dope high on fumes =D

as for body work, give new prototype a call in carlton, awesome work and decently priced

cheaper if u prep it up yourself as well

yeah the dash is coming on ok...
used clamps and liquid nails..looks flat.

..we be writing up a tech report when its done.
..nah not going to paint it..going to cover it in cocolate suede!

..change of plans...dark chocolate exterior will have to wait till i can afford it..maybe next year.
for now just going to paint it myself, probably in honda black.

yeah bro haha when i get it up and running i'll meet up.
i live in annandale near leichhardt & glebe. close to the city.

as for the rust...its quite a simple fix. start by treating the infected areas with rust kill.
then just remove any glass or panels or dressing (if needed) surrounding the rust.
cut out the rust, and prep the area, sand it down treat it if you need to.
then if the hole is not to big, use a fibre glass kit to patch up the hole(like i did in my pic).
but ifthe area affected is a big area, or effects the car's strength or structure you may need to weld in new sheet metal.
then after the fibre glass has set. sand it down, so its neat.
bog fill if needed the paint over.

i'm sure i saw a thread on rust repair. search it in the tech section.

    regards
