i searched for "coupe" on ebay one day and after sorting through an ae86 came up. i was driving a guzzler of a car which i loved but couldnt afford to keep. an ae86 seemed to be a good choice for a daily. toyota reliability in a cheap 4cylinder rwd sounds good to me.

i also saw all the merchandise for "initial d" on ebay and realised these cars were kinda popular. i then decided to download all "initial d" stages and watch them. it kinda turned me off them and was gonna buy something else. it made me want a sil80 more than an ae86. after looking at other possible cars i could get only the ae86 suited my needs so i got one anyway.

im 17 and need a first car.
some of me mates have rolla's.
so i figured why not make it a rwd manual shitbox in stead of just a shitbox.
3 months of looking for one shit enough with not much rust.
    BAM bought one.
    now i think im hooked!

it was in the 80s, i'm still a kid and my uncle just bought new one, it was a levin ae86, take me for a nice ride, infact he always take me for a ride on this car, it was a red panda, simply i've fall in love with this car,
started working and then start looking, from where i came from, AE86 is still pricy, before or after initial d movie, found one, pay a large sum of money for it, yeah i got it before initial d movie start playing

I was going to make a thread like this actually lol.

Well back in 2004 my mate owned a GZE Sprinter. As soon as I saw it I wanted one! Fell in love with it straight away. The old school toyota feel and the sporty look of it made my mouth water. Plus it was RWD and manual... so it had potential for doughies and stuff lol.

Anyways, So 5 months later I bought my first sprinter. Sold it, then just recently bought my Trueno.

Unfortunately when I first was looking for my first car, I was introduced to Initial D. Which then brought prices up through the roof.

I didn't buy my car for drifting on track or what ever. I bought it purely because I love the car for its looks, weight, rwd, being toyota, and everything else about it.

Am I the only one who bought their AE86 not to drift?
