16V ITB Conversion
The title is pretty obvious and now time for a noob question:
What do i need?
I have the 20v black top quads.
The t3 adapter plate for my bigport is on order
along with the vaccum plenum and gold velocity stacks
What else will i need?
i was reading and trying to research this and came across the phrase tps
now im getting worried
the tps, throttle position sensor is on your quads,
but you need a plug to make it work.
You will also need to get vaccum lines and T peice connectors.
thanks any idea where i can get one?
amything else you can think of people that im missing i just want to give the guy the parts
and tell him "1 week"

From what you have in the picture, you only need the throttle bodys themselves. You also have there in the picture the 20v intake manifold, which contains the balance tubes and injectors. You don't need this, but don't throw anything away.
Doing the conversion, there is some stuffing around making the throttle cable setup. It gets hard if you are missing some of the linkages. And even harder if the throttles are mounted up-side-down, which some manifolds do. KE70 or KE55 throttle cable should work either way.
I take it you already have a aftermarket computer? This is needed.

Easy and hard. "Tune" can mean so many different things. If the computer is wired up 100% and the motor is good and connected to water and oil etc... and you are left to only do the software tuning... it should be easy. But then again, if you have some software bug or unknown problem, it could take weeks or only seconds to sort out.
As for quads vs single throttle, not a big problem. Easy enough to tune.
The problems are:
1. having the throttles bolted on the motor with no vacuum leaks.
2. having all 4 throttles in sync, closing and opening together. Getting full throttle, and snapping closed for idle.
3. Getting an accelerator cable the right length, no friction, to provide full throttle plus idle. Can be tricky to set up at times. Sounds simple.
4. TPS wired to ECU. Calibrate ECU for new TPS.
To get an idle, you can choose to have the throttles cracked open slightly. Or you can choose to have the throttles snapped shut, and screw the air bleed screws all the way out. All 4 or them. Or, you can run a factory idle speed motor thing connected to your vacuum chamber, controled by the ECU.

btw i have a smallport bottom end and a big port head and want to keep a street set up (ie more more response/acceleration than top end) would u suggest leaving the cams for now or should i look into getting some at the same time?
