    thanks gilly,

basically its down to the 16v vs. GZE route.

The way i see it is:
    1. With a gze, i have more power, more power = more consistency and speed.
    2. 16v is cheap and easy, will make enough power, but i will need to drive like a demon (aka vtec), to be as competitive as i would like.

I think it will come down to the amount in my bank account when the paint is finished and the availability of said engines at that time.

Perhaps a slight sponsorship will help... wink wink lol

Hmmm... after some careful consideration in the funds department, it looks as if the 4age 16v will be my option of choice. While the cash flow sitiuation is in no way bad, i carefully weighed up the cost of the conversion/s and what i want the car for. The car was and will always be a battler, so a gze will make it to easy for me (after all, this car is what i'm learning to drift in - properly, i love my skyline, but its too easy).

Pus, I have the time to wait for a decent 16v with mods to come up for sale and i can be picky .

I considering attempting the conversion in my mates backyard, so i may have some stupid questions as i have never attempted or even seen an engine conversion take place.. it's all about learning

P.s. This post may sound whack, i may or may not be slightly intoxicated. may edit in the morning.

/the engine was running like shit today, thought it was going to die....

Turns out one of the spark plug leads fell out and it was running on three cylinders... still runs like a trooper

On the plus side, the car will be painted in marke70 green (yes, he has his own colour), due to him having a shit load of paint leftover. Will look shithot both sliding together. There may be a third joining the posse, but we'll wait and see how that turns out.

Going to give a GZE conversion a go, bog standard with front mount, ecu and exhaust. Will have lots of questions due to my poor mechanical knowledge.

May have bought the coolest old school bride i have ever seen, will post pics once i have secured the purchase.

Other than that, i have been a lazy bastard

nah rob if he can find a decent one for sale.

Johl's paint is too nice to repaint it.

On the downside, i am looking at another car which is going to be cheaper than doing the conversion myself...and its not a keto. Just looking at this stage...

here are those pics of my full lock
i also added one of my engine, with my spiffy oil filler cap and radiator cap.

Can't wait till raleigh next sunday, course is nice and tight which is perfect for me! so many big names going though may be a bit embarrasing but shit happens i guess

In other news, this car will be for sale in the next two weeks due to me realising that i don't actually need two drift cars. The skyline wins out on this one, sorry. Ad will be posted up next week.
