    Cool

Hi guys, My name is Mike (Mick, Michael, its all good) and I currently live in Brisbane. I've been on and around here (driving club) a while now but here is my introduction thread.

Where to begin? I started wanting a hachi in 2002 when I worked for Hobbyco in Sydney, most Sydney guys should know it. Anyway, with all the models that came into the store, this one model kept appearing and confusing me.

I had never seen it before but I'm a sucker for pop-up lights, eventually I asked one of the Japanese guys who worked there at the time what it was and he explained all about it and it went from there. Recently I finally bit the bullet, 5 years of whining about them to anybody who would listen and it was time to do something about it. So i searched a while and eventually contacted a man you may know - Pro K.

Pro helped me from the get go! I gave him a budget and he nearly sent me photos of sweet Trueno's every day. After a couple Panda's that he said he didn't want to buy because they weren't up to his standard, he drops one on me and BAM I'm in love so I send him the cash.

What can I say? lets start withs mods:

    175,500KM
    AIR CON
    LSD
FRONT COILOVERS WITH AFTERMARKET SHOCKS AND SPRINGS
    CUSCO CAMBER TOPS
    REAR AFTERMARKET SHOCKS AND SPRINGS
    FRONT STRUT BRACE
    AIR FILTER
    NARDI STEERING WHEEL
    EXHAUST - No extractors
    EARTHING KIT
    14" WATANABE WHEELS
    FRONT MAZDA BRAKE UPGRADE

It landed in my hands on friday. Rocked up on the truck at around lunch and I finally had my hachi. At the moment I havent had a chance to take any extra pictures yet so the only ones I have are the ones predelivery, I'll have more for you soon but till then hopefully this tides you over:

So thats it for now. Soon to be on the road and going strong. I havent had a good drive of it yet (for obvious reasons) so I don't have any thoughts on its handling yet. The car is clean though. I gave it a wash and a wax and there was one crack and a couple of patches on the roof where the clear has rubbed off and thats it! Could not be happier with the car, exactly what I had in mind myself and the more i look, the more I love the colour.

    Hope you dig :2thumbs:

Cheers guys, it was about 10k landed (not complied) compliance hopefully by the end of this week and I'm on the road.

Hally, this is the one that I was telling you about. I bought it a while ago and It probably shared space in Pro's garage with your beast. He had it about a week and a half all up I think. Unfortunately, I didn't get to keep the plates, they would have made a sweet wall dec for my garage but oh well. It did come with some crazy Japanese engine maintenance book and of course the Japanese rego stickers that you gotta love.
