Hi all, if this is deemed a commercial sale then please delete or PM me, read on!

I was looking at making some inlet bellmouths to suit my silvertop quads, so designed these and got them laser cut. i got a few extra sets cut a few of my friends were after some so i figured i would extend it to others.

location: melbourne but can post at your expense

price: $50 buys you 4 flange plates

get hold of some bellmouths or alloy tube and a welder, and have some fun designing your very own HORT tubes! i may be able to supply some tube at additional cost, havent bought any yet as you can only buy it by the 6 metre length!

the big hole is designed to fit 50mm outside diameter alloy tube, the stuff im using has an inside diameter of 46mm, which is a tiny bit smaller than the TB entry.

Reckon you could get a set of blacktop ones? If so, how much

EDIT: The flanges are what i'm after, not the bellmouths

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (70XIN @ May 27 2008, 09:54 AM) </div>I have looked at getting blacktop ones made, but there isn't a huge amount of demand for them. one or two people have bought silvertop flanges with the intention of modifying them to suit blacktop throttles, but i haven't measured up blacktop quads myself.

The information i have seen suggests that the bolt holes on the blacktop flanges are a bit over 10mm further out than the silvertop ones. I think the throttle entry may be a bit bigger too.

If you don't mind slotting the silvertop ones they should fit fine, if you want to measure up your blacktop throttles, the flanges i have have a 50.5mm hole for the inlet tube and the two bolt holes are 73mm apart.
if there is enough interest in blacktop ones and i can get a set of BT quads to measure, i'll do a run of them.

If i could get 5 or so people interested I could do them for 50 a set, smaller numbers i'd have to run the numbers.

oh yeah, maybe a solution for people who want to run 4 filters, suggested by a fellow toyota fan.

    K&N make these filters

they have little rubber bellmouths in them, and just need a bit of straight 50mm OD tube to connect to the flanges.

My reckoning says they will run into each other a bit (few mm each), but i figure they will just push out a bit and not cause too many problems.

here is an idea of what they will look like on ITBs

OK turns out those filters are around 100 bucks each, so so much for a cheap solution.

Here is the final iteration of bellmouth, I am considering another design which is more suited to turbo plenums, where the entry to the trumpet will be flush with the floor of the plenum.

This is the design for NA engines, which I'm calling free air bellmouths

and this is something I'm considering for turbo/sealed plenums (i will only be supplying the trumpets, its up to the builder to build the plenum and weld them in to it)
