mm yeh i tested my diff a bit yesturday
cause it felt like it was trying to spin both.
so i smashed it on teh road and on cement
sure enough 2 big black lines (4ac powahhhhhhhhhhh)...

    im not complaining :D
but can anyone offer an explaination as to why its doing it??
i was under the assumption that open wheeled s-series' were ratshit one wheelers..

its not about to break is it? :P

    cheers, blair.

oh p.s. it doesnt squeek/chirp when doing tight turns or anything...just feels normal til u put it under load.
    kinda like a 2way baha

How good are your tyres? If they're bad there will be not enough grip, so that the torque will even itself off between the two wheels and spin both

I think there was a really rare S-series LSD, but I don't know the way to check it out (apart from opening it up). Or you have a different diff that is an LSD, you never know

    not a grip issue.
    almost new tyres on 6.5's
as much as i want to know why
im def not pulling anything apart until it brakes or changes hahaha
its probs some mud or sumshit blocking it...
had some holding my coilovers together then when i had a look and put em back together
they were feckd cause i diturbed the mud

As difs get on, they tend to spin two... my best mates ke does this. We have labelled it the "SDLSD" effect (Standard Differential Limited Slip Diff).

Dont worry, it will probably still have a heap of life left in it. Just enjoy the two wheel action lol!

beware, it could be that there is debris in the diff center itself. does the CW&P whine loudly, clunk or rattle under load?

in all of the S series diffs i've seen that have exhibited this behaviour, they don't last much longer.
But by all means, thrash it and have some fun.

    Well there you go

I agree with you Winslow, if it works (and spins 2) don't pull it apart

    Enjoy, lucky man
