    hey guys

    need some quick help here

how do you remove the rubber boot covering a ball joint on a xt130 lca?

some mates said you cant do it, others have said just grab a screwdriver?

    anything more specific ?

both of mine have punctures in them... obviously considering the boot themselves are cheap as, id rather replace them whilst they are out.

    cheers guys.

You have to replace the entire ball joint, not just the boot.

Use circlip pliers / 2 screwdrivers to remove the circlip, then press it out.

Some people find removing the circlip easy, myself, i find it exceedingly difficult.

part number for the ball joints (just from any steering specialist) is BJ145 from memory, but it would be best to doublecheck
You can have any brew you want... as long as it's a Datsun / Corolla / What is that?

You can buy seperate rubber boots for the lca's. Go to repco and ask. they have generic ones that will fit.
