Just noticed that you have taken off the middle support that holds up the flimsy metal for the hood latch.
You will more than likely need to make a new support for that like I did so your bonnet will close and lock in. Just a heads up.
cheers for the kind words, seemed like the best place to put the oil filter mount mainly getting it to function
with the direction of flow and sorting out lines etc. should make servicing a bit more pleasant.
It doesnt have a brace on the outer side as yet will see how it goes, nice and sturdy for the moment though.
Got the edging from a local rubber supplier called purple pig might be on the BIG island?
it has an metal inner skeleton bit that helps clip/hold on edges, was all of $1.20 per meter so I bought a good
length to use through the car, good for tidying holes and sharp edges.

Interested to see how the 2871r goes. I run a 2860r on a stock smallport gze but looking to go bigger.. What sort of power are you expecting?
What rpm do you have full boost? How much power does it make?
I'm hoping for over 200kw, has port work, cams and over size valves and springs etc.
Cheers Kieran

Pushed it on the last tune and lasted 2 weeks before it lifted the head. Was making 10psi at 3400 and 24psi at 3750. A very driver friendly power band. Power was 210kw on a 50/50 e85 and pump mix. Was down around 180kw on pump 98 and 15psi. Time for headgasket, studs and more e85![]()
my gt2871 4a makes 306hp (230kw) on pump 98 and 340hp (253kw) on pump e85. It has no head work apart from a very quick tidy up of the casting dags, stock cams, valves and springs. I do have ARP head studs and a cometic gasket to keep the head on but.
ohh yea thats running 18psi and a smallport head.
