Ok I know this is going to sound pretty wankey but does anyone ever go out driving and find someone who can actually drive to follow or be followed by? I know it sounds stupid but I've been driving for 4 years and probably go out driving at night on average at least once or twice a fortnight and the fastest people I've come across are an FB RX 7, XR6 Turbo and a hilux. And by driving I mean on windy roads, not at the lights or through the suburbs or whatever.
So yeah. Does this happen or do I just live in a fantasy world of driving?

you live in a fantasy world of "FB" RX7's

and if you were outdriven by a hilux... that's a worry.

I dont know the serieses of RX7s so the second model to me is the FB and I wasnt outdriven by any of the cars, which is possibly more sad for me than being outdriven by a hilux.

Was out with some mates the other night in the 180. Met a group of hondas, an EK9 and a prelude, set up pretty nicely for Hondas... They were extremely quick.. Only people who've been able to keep until then are guys with 7+ years experience over me..

you get the traffic light warriors all the time but the ones that actually enjoy a good squirt through a windy road are rare to come across but when you do find em its good fun

just tonight i had a dude chase me in an old-school jaguar with a lumpy V8...that was funny but didn't last very long

oh yea what about that fantasy world of no

its always good driving with ppl who can keep up with u through the hills, but i agree they're pretty rare, gotta be someone in equal personality to us i think.. not some rich guy in a fastish car

    LoL Zinggg

I used to keep seeing an R33 on a local road near me and it could never catch me through the windy sections. He would only ever gain on the long straight bits but by the end of the windy road he'd be a long way behind.

The only car's that i've found that can keep up with me/are faster than me are my mates n shit.

I just get magget these days tho.

    I drive heaps

Actually I just went on a mountains run with ae86fow, damn good fun on the back roads to and through Maleny

It all depends on what roads you take, when you do it, the time of year, position of the moon and planets...

I used to take my sa22c rx7 for a blurt through the hills every now and then. One night came across an echo just sitting at the bottom, thought nothing of it. Did a u turn and he started following me pretty much right on my arse. Then he overtakes me and double lanes and dissapears. Caught up to him up the top and had a chat. Coilovers, rims, bucket seats, worked motor etc. Had a good chat for over an hour.
