    Hi,

Looking for Toyota part number to order the gaskets that go on the "exit side" of the individual throttles (i.e. the face of the throttles closest to the head, with 3 bolt holes). I have a diagram showing the gasket for the throttle intake side (i.e. between the airbox and the throttles, part number 17179A, but I don't need that one.

I have a T3 adaptor, am doing the quad conversion to my 16v at the moment.

I have searched club 4ag, this forum and others, but didn't find it....anyone know the part number?

YES Parrot - They're the ones!

I need the silvertop version though - which are yours?

Can't confirm exactly as I got these for $10 of trademe a while back. I have late silvertops put away for a rainy day but they are still on the manifold.

If you want me to pull one off to check, let me know and I will post up a photo of the rear of the TB. Presumably there will be a gasket in position to check too.

I am getting a T3 manifold in the next couple of months anyway so they will come off eventually.

So the ones shown above in the packet are correct for these TB's, and I trial fitted one of the new ones to be sure.
As I said, I believe these are late silvertops from memory.

They have this manifold outlet which will enable you to check.

Thanks guys, esp Parrot for taking the trouble to remove a t/b to inspect.

I don't have the 20v manifold to check how it compares to yours Parrot. Also, my quads were given to me without a linkage. I've heard that different series (early/late??) had single or double type throttle cable linkages, but I have only ever seen the double ones. I have no idea how to identify a early/late throttle design with what I have to work with.

So then, are the "late" 20v throttles a larger diameter (same as black top ones perhaps)? All the T3 silvertop adapters have been machined to the same I/D, and I never specified a particular bolt pattern to Gabe when I ordered it..... so I would think that if the I/D is the same, and the tri-bolt pattern is the same, then I should be able to get away with any silvertop gaskets, regardless of the series of engine.

If the exercise is not so straight forward then I shall cut my own, I don't fancy ordering incorrect bits.

    Thoughts guys?

I'd say you would just need to make sure that none of the air bleeds are covered. I dimly recall there was some variation in that area between the various types.

When I bought mine, I searched and found a thread somewhere that showed the variation between each, but can't recall where.

I had a search last night and found a few web pages with some differences. It seems that most of the changes were in the manifold between the quads and the head.

    Thanks for your help.
