should be able to order forged inturnals straight from a toyota workshop. its just 4agze stuff
Hi, i was wondering where can i get the gear to mmake a 4agte handle about 16-25 pound of boost. i remember reading one in autosalon issue 55 or 56 or something like that. it could easily beat GTR's and stuff. i was going to do the CA conversion but sounds to be alot of fucking around.. so im thinking of buyin a 4age and working on it for a few months or something... then once its ready throw it in the sprinter.
word... it's galled a 4agze dude... built to boost...

GZE Pistions are Forged, this is what your after..
so your saying if i buy a 4AGZE it will "come" with internal forgies... ? can i still turn it into a 4agte
Are GZE pistons really forged? Or are they really well cast and then coated, as thats what I thought. You cant beat a good set of aftermarket forgies. Get rods too if you can afford it.
haha i cant afford it as of yet, but as i said its gunna be a few month long prject just on the enigne.
Most people wouldn't build a 4agte without starting with a gze block.
The pistons are forged, stock block will hold 20psi all day. (tuning of corse)
ze's have better cranks, better rods, better block, better pistons... but the head is the same...
Yes, most people who go 4agte start with a ze. They have said to be able to run 20psi standard without too many dramas...

GZE pistons aren't forged, they are hypereutectic (that's the correct spelling), i had a GZE piston cut up for an in-depth look after i heard reports that they weren't forged.
They are also coated, not that it matters though, as this coating wears off after a few thousand k's
Quote below is in regards to 'forged vs. hypereutectic'
So yeah. Cool pistons uleh. They are also a damn competitive price and great for high-boost/turbocharging. Go for gold.
